A true Christian gentleman is a well-rounded person, not only academically developed, but also graced with an appreciation of the arts. To achieve this, each student is required to take an Introduction to Visual & Performing Arts course.
Led by distinguished music director Mary Ekler since 2004, The St. Francis Men's Chorus, featuring the musical talents of students from every grade level at St. Francis High School, performs at concerts, liturgical services, and community events in the Greater Los Angeles area. Each year, the Men's Chorus performs two showcases - a Christmas celebration and a spring concert as part of the annual Festival of Arts at St. Francis High School.
The St. Francis High School Drumline & Percussion Ensemble features students from every high school grade level showcasing their skills using a snare, tenor, and bass drums, cymbals, and mallet instruments.
They have been seen performing at home and away football games, the City of Montrose Christmas Parade, Los Angeles Youth Day, the La Canada Memorial Day Parade, Disney California Adventure and at many more events.
Students may also participate in a media production and "daily newscast" program. KNIT-TV offers a hands-on learning experience with television broadcast and production.
